Salon 4
 Motoko Ohinata
 'Rabbit & Mushroom People'
 June 30, 2000

Visitors were invited on a fantastical journey around the
house which was inhabited by an array of costumed
 performers. These strange creatures repetitively
performed familiar actions : eating, and playfully exploring
their surroundings. The performance took place in several
rooms with the audience free to wander around the
house interacting with the performers. Motoko Ohinata
was born in Japan and graduated from The Kent Institute
of Art and Design in 1999. Her work includes painting,
 photography, video-orientated performance and
animation. Recent projects have included working at the
Play Zone at the MilleniumDome, participation in 'Exit', a
24 Hour film screening event at Chisenhale Gallery,
December 1999 and exhibitor in 'Mondo Ikea' at Flag,
 London, Febuary 2000.
