For this series of up to twelve choreographed ‘performance points’ (devised from 1996-2001) around the house, Cool lead the audience on an intense and intimate engagement with the space, introducing a number of highly charged objects as well as ‘natural’ props found around the house. Marie Cool has exceptional poise and grace as a performer and ultimate control over her actions which are meticulously scripted. Cool , who are based in Paris, are French and Italian artists, who work as a performance duo. This performance, alongside a parallel performance at The South London Gallery on 3 April, represents their first public presence in London and the UK. Other recent performances include, at Attitudes and Public in Paris and at the Kunsthalle, Fribourg.
