'One to One' involved the live relay of sound from Sheila's house
in
Wolverhampton to the domestic spaces of home in London. Shelia
hosted a party, serving home-made food to her guests in
Wolverhampton, while the audience in London were offered a
similar spectacle of a party and were able to eat and drink from a
buffet which was provided at home. The audience were
implicated in two separate intimate domestic spaces, which were
both displaced by the other. The 'performance' lasted
approximately one hour, and involved the live digital collection of
sounds
and their transmission down a specially installed ISDN line in both
houses.
